The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu<\/a> has vowed that the killers of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State won\u2019t escape justice even as he commiserated\u00a0with the people of Ekiti State over the death of the revered leaders.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

In a statement which was obtained by Africa Today News, New York on Tuesday, the President, who is in France on a private visit, condemned the \u201cmindless and brutal bloodletting\u201d of the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola; and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Ogunsola.<\/p>\n

The two monarchs were killed when they were returning from a meeting in Irele-Ekiti on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu condoled with the families and subjects of the traditional rulers, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and the people of Ekiti State on the \u201cdeeply agonising development\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the same vein, the President directs the immediate rescue of pupils and teachers kidnapped around Eporo-Ekiti area of the State.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs security of life and property is the primary responsibility of government, President Tinubu assures Nigerians that the nation\u2019s security architecture is being robustly fortified for better and expected outcomes,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

In another development, a former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku<\/a>\u00a0Abubakar has squarely confronted President Bola Tinubu on the pressing issue of national security, highlighting the persistent kidnappings that plague the entire nation.<\/p>\n

Atiku Abubakar, who vied against Tinubu in the 2023 presidential race, has taken on President Bola Tinubu, urging him to relinquish his position if he cannot effectively address the escalating security challenges plaguing the nation.<\/p>\n

Even as cases of insecurity escalate, the former vice president highlighted that the President exhibited the audacity to depart the country for a private visit to France.<\/p>\n

Atiku said the country does not need another \u201cTourist-in-Chief\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last week Wednesday, Tinubu left Abuja for Paris, France, for a private visit.<\/p>\n
