Report reaching the desk of Africa Today News, New York has it that following heavy gunfire, four Israeli hostages<\/a> kidnapped from the Nova music festival on 7 October were yesterday rescued by the Israeli military.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The names of those freed were given as Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrei Kozlov, 27 and Shlomi Ziv, 41<\/p>\n

Israel says the rescue was conducted in broad daylight, under heavy fire, at two separate buildings in Nuseirat, Central Gaza, BBC reports.<\/p>\n

The freed hostages are said to be in a good medical condition and have been pictured embracing family members at the \u2018Sheba\u2019 Tel-HaShomer Medical Center, where they have been checked.<\/p>\n

Dozens of people, including children, have been killed and injured in the area where the operation took place, with images and footage showing significant numbers of casualties, according to BBC.<\/p>\n

Staff at the Al-Aqsa hospital are said to be struggling to treat the casualties.<\/p>\n

Recall that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had a fortnight ago revealed that Israeli forces have recovered the bodies of three hostages from Gaza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Africa Today News, New York gathered that the bodies recovered were those of Shani Louk, Amit Buskila, and Itzhak Gelerenter.<\/p>\n

The IDF said they had been murdered on 7 October and their remains taken back to Gaza.<\/p>\n

Local media reported that the bodies were found in a Hamas tunnel.<\/p>\n

No fewer than 1,200 people were killed in an unprecedented attack when Hamas gunmen burst into Israel. They took 252 others back to Gaza as hostages.<\/p>\n

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the news \u201cheart-breaking\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will return all of our hostages, the living and the deceased alike,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the IDF said the bodies had been recovered in an operation overnight. It said it had acted on intelligence gleaned from \u201cinterrogations of terrorists\u201d who had been detained in Gaza.<\/p>\n

It said the three victims had been killed at an intersection near the site of the Nova festival massacre in southern Israel, before their bodies were taken to Gaza.<\/p>\n
