The Nigerian Air Force<\/a> has intensified its nationwide air campaign, launching sustained, round-the-clock aerial operations aimed at dismantling terrorist enclaves and disrupting criminal networks in a renewed push to combat insecurity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This latest offensive spans key geopolitical zones\u2014including the North-East, North-West, North Central, South-East, and South-South\u2014and forms a critical part of a comprehensive security initiative spearheaded by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar.<\/p>\n

In a statement released Wednesday, NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame disclosed that Air Component Commanders have been tasked with maintaining unrelenting aerial surveillance and offensive momentum, ensuring continuous pressure on armed elements threatening national stability.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a bold reaffirmation of its commitment to national security, the NAF has ramped up round-the-clock air operations across multiple theatres of internal security, delivering crippling blows to terrorists, insurgents, and criminal networks,\u201d Ejodame said. \u201cThis renewed operational intensity follows strategic recalibrations and tighter synergy between air and ground components, particularly in Operation Hadin Kai and other joint task force operations nationwide.\u201d<\/p>\n

He quoted Air Marshal Abubakar as saying: \u201cTerror will find no sanctuary, day or night. Our eyes are everywhere, and our resolve is unshaken. Wherever they hide, we will find them. And when we do, we will strike with precision.\u201d<\/p>\n

Citing the failed terrorist attack on New Marte in Borno State on May 24, 2025, Ejodame said the operation exemplified NAF\u2019s heightened readiness and technological advancement.<\/p>\n

A group of Islamic State West Africa Province fighters had attempted to storm the area using motorcycles and a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, but were intercepted and neutralised by NAF aircraft guided by real-time intelligence and surveillance feeds.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe night offers no more cover for enemies of the state. Our platforms now fly with enhanced night vision capabilities and operate with precision, regardless of the hour,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Air Commodore Ejodame reported that follow-up airstrikes had neutralized more than 50 insurgents as they attempted to regroup, significantly weakening their operational capabilities and morale.<\/p>\n

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar reiterated the Nigerian Air Force\u2019s steadfast commitment to national security, assuring the public that the country\u2019s airspace remained under constant surveillance. He emphasized that the Air Force was maintaining vigilance and offensive operations across strategic locations, asserting that insurgents would find no safe haven as long as the force maintained air superiority.<\/p>\n
