Don\u2019t let the voice crack or \u201ctears of betrayal\u201d fool you. When Honorable says his \u201cspirit misaligned,\u201d what he really means is:<br \/>\n\u201cDem no give me ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s it. No epiphany. No moral awakening. Just one dashed political ambition wrapped in spiritual grammar.<\/p>\n<p>These are the same men who swore loyalty to \u201cthe party of the people,\u201d but the moment their name doesn\u2019t appear on the \u201cselected delegates\u201d list, they begin receiving divine SMS from God the Father of Cross-Carpeting.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s break it down:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday: They\u2019re declaring for governorship under Party A.<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday: Screening fails.<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday: \u201cAfter wide consultations with my people\u2026\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Thursday: Welcome to Party B.<\/li>\n<li>Friday: Thanksgiving.<\/li>\n<li>Saturday: New branded Ankara.<\/li>\n<li>Sunday: They declare \u201cthis is where my destiny belongs.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By the next election? Rinse and repeat.<\/p>\n<p>These are political chameleons, only that chameleons change colour \u2014 these ones change conscience. And the Nigerian public? We\u2019ve heard it all:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can no longer be part of a party that has lost direction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Direction? Oga, you were the one driving it toward the ditch since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vision of the party no longer reflects my ideology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ideology? You mean the same ideology that allowed you to build four houses during one tenure and commission one borehole?<\/p>\n<p>They always say \u201cthe people called me to move.\u201d Which people? You\u2019re not prodigal \u2014 you\u2019re politically stranded.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t worry \u2014 the new party will welcome him like a long-lost relative, because in Nigeria, defectors are not traitors \u2014 they\u2019re strategic assets. Forget the fact that he insulted them on live TV last year. Now he\u2019s \u201ca man of experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By next month, he\u2019ll be on Channels TV talking about \u201cbuilding institutions\u201d \u2014 even though he couldn\u2019t build a functioning toilet in his ward.<\/p>\n<p>And if you dare criticize him, he\u2019ll say:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet us move on.
