The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), <\/b>Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu<\/a>, has described himself as a youth amidst the clamour for youth Presidency in 2023.<\/b><\/p>\n

Tinubu made the comment amid the clamour for young persons to take power.<\/p>\n

While stressing that he has the required energy to lead the country, Tinubu pointed he is capable of serving Nigeria and making the country great.<\/p>\n

He told his supporters at a recent gathering that the APC will continue to protect the interest of Nigerians, home and abroad.<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019m here standing before you\u2026 and I\u2019m a youth,’<\/em> Tinubu declared as his supporters cheered.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the 2023 elections, many Nigerian youths have been agitating that a younger person should take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n

Addressing this when he visited a South West monarch earlier in the month, Tinubu had said he wants the youths to be president of Nigeria, but that would happen after he has served as the president.<\/p>\n

‘If you become the President, you want to chase us from the streets? You\u2019ll become old and be president but after me,’<\/em> Tinubu had said.<\/p>\n

Africa Today News, New York reports that the former Lagos Governor was born on March 26, 1952, and will celebrate his 70th birthday in a\u00a0 few weeks.<\/p>\n

Tinubu<\/a> had last on Friday explained why believes that President Muhammadu Buhari to hand over power to him in 2023.<\/p>\n

Africa Today News, New York reports that Tinubu premised his call on the fact that he supported Buhari\u2019s ambition to become president in the last two elections in the country.<\/p>\n

He recalled campaigning with Buhari across Nigeria in 2015.<\/p>\n

The APC National Leader said Buhari should not just leave office in 2023 but hand over power to him.<\/p>\n

He made those remarks when he spoke during his separate visits to the Ooni of Ife and Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, in Osun State, to seek their support.<\/p>\n
