The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the chief whip of the Senate and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu<\/a> over the death of his wife.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Africa Today News, New York reports that the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lost his 61-year-old wife, Ifeoma Ada yesterday.<\/p>\n

The federal lawmaker who is in the race to lead the 10th Senate confirmed the development in a post on his official Facebook page on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Chief Whip of the Senate said Ifeoma, who died at the age of 61, was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.<\/p>\n

Kalu wrote,\u00a0\u2018With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to the eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2018She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2018A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

Recall that\u00a0Kalu\u00a0<\/a>had returned to his Alma Mater, Harvard Business School, United States of America for further studies last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a message, the President consoled the family, friends, and associates, urging trust in God for comfort and care during the difficult period.<\/p>\n

Buhari believes the testimonies of Ifeoma\u2019s fear of God and charity should provide strength for loved ones, knowing she lived well.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s statement made public by spokesperson Femi Adesina prayed for the repose of her soul, and fortitude for the family to bear the loss.<\/p>\n

Kalu announced that a memorial service in honour of the deceased will be held in the United States of America.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nigerians are pouring the death of the former first Lady of Abia State.<\/p>\n
