Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho<\/a> will miss the remainder of the 2022\/23 Premier League season due to injury, doctors have confirmed.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Africa Today News, New York reports that Iheanacho sustained the injury in Leicester City\u2019s 1-1 draw against Leeds United in midweek.<\/p>\n

The Foxes manager, Dean Smith announced the severity of the injury during Friday\u2019s press conference.<\/p>\n

‘He\u2019s got a tear in his adductor muscle,’ Smith informed the media.<\/p>\n

‘He\u2019s out for a number of weeks. I\u2019m not going to rule him out for the rest of the season, but it\u2019s going to be tough to get him back. Hopefully, we can.’<\/p>\n

Iheanacho has scored two goals in his last three appearances for the former Premier League champions.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old played a key role in the equalising goal against Leeds United at Elland Road.<\/p>\n

Smith admitted the Nigerian\u2019s injury is a big blow for his side.<\/p>\n

‘It\u2019s a blow. He came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He played really well in the Wolves game as well. He scored the penalty and created chances,’ he said.<\/p>\n

‘His all-round displays have been really good, so it\u2019ll be a loss, but it\u2019s an opportunity for others.’<\/p>\n

Leicester City will face Everton in their next Premier League game on Monday.<\/p>\n

In another report, Qatar\u2019s Sheikh Jassim has now submitted a world-record bid to buy\u00a0Manchester United<\/a> from the Glazer family.<\/p>\n

The deadline for final offers for the club was this Friday, April 28. Sheikh Jassim, the head of Qatar Islamic Bank, reportedly made an offer that over \u00a35 billion.<\/p>\n
