Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma<\/a> has been elected as the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) by the Governors elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This development was disclosed by Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, during the meeting with the APC National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.<\/p>\n

Addressing the party\u2019s leadership during the meeting, Uzodinma said: ‘Under my watch, we will be very close to the party.<\/em><\/p>\n

‘The forum’s purpose is to add impetus to the activities of the party and the government. We are only going to act as salesmen that will market the policies and programmes of the government.’<\/em><\/p>\n

The Imo governor further noted that; ‘arising from the manifesto promised to the people before the election, I can assure you that you have a team and working together with the kind of men I have seen as Progressives Governors members, I think we have gotten all it would take to ensure that policies of our government were fully market.’<\/p>\n

Africa Today News, New York reports that the position was previously held by the outgone Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu.<\/p>\n

In another report, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Government over discriminatory, unfair, and illegal treatment of its members.<\/p>\n

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, filed the suit on Tuesday at the National Industrial Court in Abuja, the nation\u2019s capital, on behalf of ASUU.<\/p>\n
